Brain Injury Rehabilitation: Rehabilitation Professionals for Case Managers

Case Managers are faced with making decisions about rehabilitation for their clients with brain injuries on a daily basis. This process begins with an assessment of the person’s needs followed by aligning these needs with the expertise of rehabilitation professionals and brain injury rehabilitation programs. Some Case Managers assemble a team of professionals in the community who have the specialized services their client needs and spend hours each week coordinating and managing services. Other Case Managers seek a comprehensive program where the services are organized into a rehabilitation team and focused on the individual’s needs through a consolidated approach using a specifically tailored  treatment plan.

Our approach is to work closely with the Case Manager; the client and their family; the lawyer and the insurance adjuster as vital members of the rehabilitation team and to create an integrated plan for rehabilitation involving our professionals. These individuals provide treatment direction and supervision to the Rehabilitation Therapists who provide prescriptive therapies which extend the opportunities for the client to learn and maintain the skills and strategies they need to manage their brain injury related disabilities. NRIO has an established Outcome Study which provides the program with information from actual client outcomes. This data is used to continuously evaluate our programs and enhance program performance.
