What's New? - September 2008
From the Desk of Colleen Boyce, Executive Director: NRIO’s School Resource Services (SRS programmes) had a very successful “Summer in the City” programme, which is a small group of students where academic, social and functional life skills are addressed in real life situations. NRIO is pleased to advise you that Lavel Williams has joined the teaching staff to assist you with school, academic and tutoring needs at all levels and ages. <click here for more>
Extraordinary results require hard work. At NRIO, we offer community-minded, progressive rehabilitation that produces real and lasting results. By providing an impeccable level of care and empowering our clients with tools, training, and opportunities, we’re able to enhance the quality of life for individuals with a brain injury.
Backed by a diverse staff of seasoned healthcare professionals, NRIO customizes treatment programs for every single person in each of our programs. From long-term complex care rehabilitation to outpatient therapy and more, we cultivate an environment that’s conducive to true recovery.
Our goal-oriented programs extends beyond the bedside and past the doctor’s office. By using resources within the community, we’re able to cultivate a sense of integration and direction that offers promise and hope to brain injury survivors of all ages. Each NRIO facility and program offers various levels of specialized care, so that together, the NRIO network of services meets the needs of patients as they progress through their recovery.
Residential treatment options, community and outreach programs, and paediatric programs are all available depending on the individual needs of the adults, youth, and children we serve. Our mission is to provide rehabilitative care that guides individuals into greater independence and an enhanced quality of life.
It’s rehab that works, from the Neurologic Rehabilitation Institute of Ontario.
NRIO is a private, fee for service organization and does not receive OHIP funding.
